Home page sections and pages

Reorder, hide and add sections on your home page, and add extra pages like About, Services, FAQ or Gallery.

Video coming soon. The written steps below cover everything in the meantime.

Your home page is made of sections. You decide which ones show and in what order. You can also add whole pages.

Reorder your sections

In My site, open Home page sections. The Header, Hero and Footer are fixed and always shown. Every section between them can be moved:

  • Drag a section by its handle, or
  • Use the Move up and Move down buttons. This works with the keyboard and screen readers, and focus stays on the section you moved.

Hide or show a section

Select the eye button on a section to hide it. Hidden sections keep their content, so you can show them again anytime.

A section you show isn’t always a band of its own. If it’s empty, or your template draws it inside another part of the page (some templates put the request form or the trust facts in the hero, and Online booking can take the place of the request form), the section’s row and its panel say so. Its order and colors only apply when it has a band of its own.

Hiding Contact doesn’t always remove the request form: a page keeps one, so on some templates the Call to action shows it instead.

Add a section

Select Add a section and pick one from the library: Trust strip, Services & prices, Pricing packages, About, Team, How it works, Before & after, Gallery, Reviews, Service area, FAQ, Call to action, Contact, Highlights and Notice band. New sections start with blank fields for you to fill. Publish waits until they are filled in; if a section isn’t ready yet, hide it and publish without it.

Some sections come with an add-on: Instant quote calculator, Service area checker, Online booking, Live status and the Blog teaser. They can be added once the add-on is on (see Billing and add-ons).

Tip: Each section has a settings button (the sliders icon). Choose Auto to keep your template’s design, or force the section Light or Dark.

Add a page

Your plan includes a Home page, a Contact page and a Privacy Policy page (if your Pages list has no Privacy Policy yet, add it with Add a page: it’s free). To add more, open Pages in the dashboard menu and select Add a page. Pick the type (About, Service page, FAQ or Gallery), then its name and address. Turn on Draft with AI (5 credits) if you want AI to write a first draft.

Extra pages cost $5/mo each, or $19/mo for a pack of 5 pages of any type. Extra pages are billed from the day you add them, and the price is shown before anything is bought. A site can have up to 25 extra pages. If you remove a page, billing for it stops at the end of your paid period.

A new page shows Not published yet in the list until you publish. A new legal page opens in the Legal editor, where you review its text before it can go live.

When you’re done, publish to put the changes live. Publish site on the Pages screen publishes your whole site, including edits made in My site.
